YIn the St. Clair County Circuit Court, another 53 people have filed lawsuits against the makers of Yasmin and Yaz claiming that the use of the pill caused them to develop serious health issues such as gallstones and blood clots.
The plaintiffs in the suit are residence in multiple different states including New Jersey, Delaware, South Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin, Washington and Kansas.
The plaintiffs allege that Bayer Pharmaceuticals, the make of the drug, did not warn them of the risks before they started taking the pill. These oral contraceptive pills contain a hormone called drospierenone that can cause high levels of potassium. If levels of potassium get too high, a condition called hyperkalemia can occur. This can then lead to multiple other side effects.
If you or a loved one has suffered from a health condition after taking either of these oral contraceptives, you need experienced representation on your side. Contact the Yasmin blood clotting lawsuit lawyers of Williams Kherkher by calling 800-761-3187 today.
