A Hall of Famer and longtime coach for the Miami Heat, Bob McAdoo, is now being treated for a blood clot in his leg.
The blood clot was found when visiting the team’s doctor a few days ago and he was sent home and told to stay off of his feet for some time.
The team does not know when McAdoo will be back to work, but they think that it will be soon because the clot was caught early. This is McAdoo’s 17th season as assistant coach for the Heat and many said his presence was still felt at the game even though he could not attend.
Blood clots can have life threatening risks if they travel to the lung. Recently, the use of certain birth control pills have been tied to the risk of developing blood clots and deep-vein thrombosis.
