Colder temperatures could increase chance of heart attack

Actress claims stroke was caused by birth control

An actress is suing Bayer Pharmaceuticals claiming that Yasmin birth control pills caused her to have a stroke at age 27.

Brenda Hamilton, an under study actress for the Broadway play “Wicked,” claims in her lawsuit that Bayer knew that Yasmin had a greater risk for strokes than other birth control pills and withheld the information. The actress had no history of health issues when she suffered the stroke.

Sources say that the Yasmin website does state the oral contraceptives are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular issues. Hamilton’s lawsuit is just one of the 1,100 suits that the birth control pill lead to life-threatening health issues.
