A woman has recently filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer of the oral contraceptive, Yas and Yazmin, claiming that they caused her damage to her gallbladder.

The lawsuit claims that the company failed to warn patients about risks associated with the drug even though they knew the risks. The woman took Yaz/Yasmin from 2001 to 2008. She was monitored by a gynecologist and she followed all instructions when taking the pill.

She began to experience severe stomach pain in 2006 and had to have cholecystectomy. After her gallbladder was removed, she still continued have chest pains and struggle with digestion issues.

A 21-year-old woman from Ohio experienced severe abdominal pain after taking Yasmin and went to the doctor to discover that she had a gallbladder disease.
